MIAC PLAYOFF INFORMATION

ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—The No. 4 seed Bethel University Royals will host No. 5 seed St. Catherine University in one of the MIAC Women's Volleyball Playoff Quarterfinal matches at the Robertson Center Gymnasium on Tuesday, November 11 at 7 p.m. The winner will advance to the 2025 MIAC Playoff Semifinal at top-seed St. Olaf on Thursday, November 13 at 7 p.m.

The first 50 students to walk through the doors will be admitted free into the contest.
LAST TIME OUT
Both teams will be facing off for the second-straight match as the Royals found themselves on the winning side of a 3-0 sweep at the Robertson Center Gymnasium in the 2025 regular season finale on November 7. Junior Peyton Howie was on a roll with a three-set career best 19 kills as well as a .415 hitting percentage, just two attack errors, and seven digs in the match. Freshman setter Sophia Rubio tied for a three-set, season-high 36 assists against the Wildcats. The duo engineered a Royals squad that accumulated a .289 hitting percentage.
Hannah Penke led the defense with 12 digs, and was second on the team with 11 kills and a .200 hitting mark. Grace Therrien also had 12 digs in the match.
SERIES
Bethel leads the series 29-7 over the past 30 seasons. This marks the third straight season the Royals and Wildcats face off in the MIAC Playoffs. St. Catherine found themselves on the winning end on both occasions; a 3-2 decision in the 2024 MIAC Semifinal, and a 3-1 score in the 2023 MIAC Quarterfinal.

The 2025 MIAC Women's Volleyball Playoffs will be streamed live in a pay-per-view format for $10 each viewing. A $25 Championship Pass will allow fans to stream the entire tournament. Â
TICKETS
All tickets will be sold and purchased online via HomeTown Ticketing. There will be no cash sales. Adult general admission is $12, while student general admission is $3. Children five and under receive free admission.

- The Royals will be making their 18th overall, and 11th-straight appearance in the MIAC Playoffs.
- Bethel holds a 13-18 record in the MIAC Playoffs.
- Their .208 hitting percentage leads the MIAC.
- Freshman Sophia Rubio leads the MIAC and ranks 16th in NCAA Division III with 10.22 assists per set.
- Peyton Howie paces the MIAC with 3.59 kills per set, and 4.32 points per set. She also has a team-leading 64 blocks.
- Sophomore Grace Therrien leads the team with 347 digs (4.13 per set).
ABOUT NO. 5 ST. CATHERINE (10-16, 6-5 MIAC) Head Coach: Todd Nelson, Ninth Season
- The Wildcats are making their sixth overall, and fourth-straight appearance in the MIAC Playoffs.
- St. Catherine is 3-6 in the MIAC Playoffs.
- Freshman Marta Haugen leads the Wildcats with 210 kills (2.28 per set), and a .129 attack percentage over 92 sets. Senior Madison Fagan isn't far behind with 174 kills (2.35 per set) and a .247 attack percentage over 91 sets. Fagan also is second on the team with 71 blocks.
- Sophomore Addison Preuss owns 488 assists (4.98 per set) over a team-leading 98 sets played.
- The defense is led by senior Liz Rosen's 235 digs (3.01 per set), while senior Emily Bredman leads the way with 72 blocks. Â
