Moorhead, Minn. — October 11, 2025 — The Bethel University women's volleyball team delivered a dominant performance Saturday afternoon, sweeping Concordia College-Moorhead in straight sets (25–14, 25–14, 25–21) at Memorial Auditorium. The victory moves the Royals to 8–7 overall and 2–1 in MIAC play, while the Cobbers fall to 5–10 (1–3 MIAC).
Bethel hit an efficient .261 as a team, led by Peyton Howie, who turned in a standout all-around effort with 18 kills, four blocks, and two aces. Sara Scherber added nine kills, while Hannah Penke chipped in five kills and a team-high 14 digs.
Setter Sophia Rubio directed the attack with 35 assists and contributed 11 digs, and Grace Therrien added 12 digs and two aces from the back row.
The Royals controlled the match from start to finish—holding the Cobbers to just a .043 hitting percentage and recording advantages in every major statistical category, including kills (39–26), digs (62–55), and blocks (5–2).
With the win, Bethel secures its second MIAC victory of the season and builds momentum heading into the heart of conference play.
The Royals return home to the Robertson Center Gym on Wednesday at 7 p.m. to face St. Scholastica for Youth Night in Arden Hills.
