ASHLAND, Wis. – Freshman forward
Connor Brazil tallied a pair of goals in a 3-1 victory for the Bethel University men's hockey team at Northland Saturday evening.
It his second collegiate game, it didn't take long for Brazil to score his first collegiate goal, firing a wrister from the left circle 1:15 into the contest. Northland tied it up over five minutes later as the teams went into the first intermission knotted at one.
Despite not being able to convert on their first power play of night just over midway through the second, BU took the lead back for good as
Tyler Kostelecky lit up the lamp with just over two minutes left in the second period.
Brazil tallied his second of the night after Braden Bartoo won the faceoff and
Caydon Meyer collected the puck feeding a fast-skating Brazil up ice. Brazil fired another from the left circle giving BU the two-goal cushion.
The Royals outshot the Lumberjacks 49-27 and were 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.
Between the pipes,
