BLAINE, Minn. – The Bethel University women's hockey team dropped the series finale to No. 8th-ranked Augsburg, 4-1, Saturday evening at Bethel University Arena.
Â
Three of the Auggies' goals came on the power play, where they went 3-for-5. BU had its opportunities with the man advantage, including four in the third period alone, but couldn't capitalize going 0-for-5.
Â
Augsburg led 1-0 heading into the first intermission scoring 2:11 before the break. Another power play goal for the Auggies at the 13:50 mark would be all the scoring in the second.
Â
The Auggies third goal came short-handed on BU's first power play chance of the final 20 minutes.
Â
Brynn Swenson tallied BU's lone goal taking it by herself from just inside the Auggies blue line and beating the Auggies netminder on the other end one-on-one.
