LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Bethel University baseball team faced No.15 ranked UW-La Crosse in the opening round of the NCAA Regional tournament Friday afternoon, falling to the host Eagles 19-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Royals grabbed an early 1-0 lead on a
Jordan Krupke home run over the left-center field wall in the top of the second.
The Eagles responded in the bottom half plating two runs to take the lead. UW-La Crosse added on, scoring two in the fourth, three in the fifth and putting up a ten spot in the sixth for a 17-1 lead.

Zach Thompson hit by pitch put two runners on for the Royals in the eighth. A
Joe Meurer RBI single to left plated Bethel's second run of the game.
UW-La Crosse tacked on two more in the bottom half of the eighth making it a 19-2 ballgame that ended up being the final.

The Royals look to bounce back Saturday in a win-or-go-home elimination game against Benedictine. First pitch is scheduled for 11 a.m. A win and the Royals are back in action at 6 p.m.
