BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – For the second straight season,
Conor Schubring was named the MIAC Men's Golf Player of the Year having shot a MIAC-leading 72 scoring average. Head coach
Nick Cocalis, who's in his fifth year, was voted as MIAC Coach of the Year after leading the Royals to the MIAC Championship title back in the fall.
For the first time in program history, the Royals had five golfers named to the All-Conference squad with
Jacob Hall,
Will Karkoc,
David Morton, and
Jack Wellen joining Schubring on the squad.
Under Cocalis' leadership, the Royals won the MIAC Championship back in the fall recording a program-best 6-under-par 858 (285-282-291), the second-lowest 54-hole score in recorded MIAC Men's Golf history. The program's 293.1 scoring average heading into the NCAA Championship is the best mark in program history while capturing six team titles.

• Finished second at the MIAC Championships firing a career-best 212 (70-68-74).
• In 22 rounds averaged a 74.3 scoring mark while shooting at or under par in 10 rounds.
• Totaled three top-five finishes.
Will Karkoc • Jr. • Maple Grove, Minn.
• Now a three-time All-MIAC honoree.
• Cards a 75.2 scoring average in 22 rounds of golf while shooting at or under par in four rounds.
• Notched two top-five finishes this season.
• At the MIAC Championships finished tied for 11th with a 223 (72-74-77).
David Morton • Sr. • Deephaven, Minn.
• First All-MIAC honoree.
• Shot a 73.0 scoring average in 22 rounds of golf that ranked fourth in the MIAC. He carded par or under in eight rounds this season.
• Notched a fifth-place finish at the MIAC Championships carding a 215 (74-68-73).
• Fired a 67 twice this season, the second lowest in program history, doing so at the Bethel Quad and in the second round of the IWU Invitational.
• In 10 events he notched four top-five finishes.
Jack Wellen • Jr. • Minneapolis, Minn. (Spring Lake Park)
• Earns his first All-MIAC honoree.
• Fired a 73.9 scoring average in 20 rounds ranking seventh in the MIAC. Shot at or under par in six of those rounds.
• In 10 events he notched four top-five finishes.
• Had a career-best 142 at the Augsburg Spring Invite where he finished fourth.
