ARDEN HILLS, Minn – With the game knotted at two in the bottom of the eighth
Xavier Lortie came to the plate and promptly hit a go ahead solo home run to right center, giving the Royals a 3-2 lead. The Royals tacked on an insurance run later in the inning on a
Ty Koehn single up the middle for a 4-2 lead. Bethel went on to win by a final score of 4-3, improving their overall record to 19-13 and a 3-0 series sweep of Northwestern.

Matthew Carlsen kicked off the third with a bunt single down the third base line and a subsequent steal of second to get in scoring position.
Carson Christiansen brought him home with a single to right, extending the Bethel lead to 2-0.
The Eagles struck for two runs in the top half of the fourth tying the game at two a piece.
Jay Krieger tossed a pair of scoreless innings out of the bullpen allowing no hits, no earned runs and issuing one walk. Earning his first win of the season in the process.

Cavan Banks closed it out in the ninth earning his first save of the season and a 4-3 Royals win.
