ST. CLOUD, Minn. – After surrendering a two-goal lead, the Bethel Royals women's hockey tallied a late third period goal giving the Royals a 3-2 win over Saint Ben's and a weekend split with the Bennies.
The Royals found the back of the net first at the 10:33 mark of the opening period. The goal came courtesy of Linsey Albers– her third of the season – coming on the power play. It would be BU's only shot of the period while the Bennies tallied nine on frame.
With just 34 seconds remaining in the second period
Alison Hoerer lit up the lamp giving the Royals a comfortable two goal lead heading into the third.
The Bennies answered back however, with their first goal of the game coming at the 4:13 mark of the third. The Royals then surrender the game tying goal on the penalty kill at the with just over four minutes to go in the third.
For a second straight night the Royals appeared to be headed for overtime when with just 62 seconds remaining
Abbie DeLong scored the game winning go-ahead goal for the Royals.

Anna Hanson stopped 41 shots on 43 attempts, earning her fourth win of the season and a .936 save percentage.
The Royals now head home for a matchup with Northland College on Tuesday, Dec.5 at Bethel University Arena puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
