BLAINE, Minn. – The Bethel University women's hockey team suffered a 7-0 defeat to No. 1 ranked Gustavus Adolphus Saturday afternoon at Bethel University Arena.
The Royals and Gusties skated to a 0-0 tie in the first period despite BU being outshot 12-2. The first penalty of the game wouldn't come until just over 3:30 left in the second period where GAC was whistled for tripping.
GAC tallied four goals in the second period while the fifth goal came 40 seconds into the third. The Gusties final two goals came while on the power play.
BU's penalty kill then fended off a pair of penalties where the Royals skated a player down during a four-plus minute stretch.

The Royals will be on hiatus until Friday, Dec. 1 when they host Saint Benedict at 7 p.m.
