BLAINE, Minn. – The Bethel University women's hockey team only trailed by a goal at the second intermission until the Augsburg Auggies exploded for a five-goal third period.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg opened its scoring on the power play in the opening period with just under eight minutes to go. Five minutes later they expanded the lead to 2-0 while on its second power play of the night.
• Bethel got one back before the break as
Paige Landis scored her second of the year and BU's first shot on frame.
• With 8:13 left to go in the second Bethel gave Augsburg a penalty shot opportunity that they were able to connect on.
•
Kallie Abrahamson tallied her fifth of the year getting the Royals back within one at 3-2.
• Augsburg came out firing in the third score four of its five in the first 5:05 of the period.
