PAUL, MINN. - The 20th ranked Bethel University volleyball team finished up their opening tournament at the Kathryne Pals Invitational hosted by the University of Northwestern inside the Erickson Center. The Royals split their last day of the Invitational winning in straight sets against St. Norbert; 25-19, 25-20, 25-15; then losing their final game to Coe in four sets; 25-14, 22-25, 22-25, 14-25.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Bethel vs St. Norbert
• Bethel dominated on the attack, hitting .229 while SNC was limited to .031
• After losing the first point in set one, the Royals went on a 15-5 run setting the tone and taking the first set
• After giving up a 6-0 run to SNC, allowing them to take the lead at 13-11; Bethel went on a 14-7 run winning the second set
• BU controlled the third set on both ends – hitting .229 and holding SNC to .027Â

• The Royals lose in four sets in defensive battle; BU hit .110, Coe hit .156
• BU went wire-to-wire in the first set, winning 25-14
• Coe took the second and third sets 25-22, both sets in back-and-forth action; evening up the score 11 times along with five lead changes
• BU was held to hitting .083 in the third set and -.062 in the fourth set
