ARDEN HILLS, MN - Bethel Royals volleyball team swept fellow MIAC competitor St. Ben's at home Wednesday night. With near identical scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-23; Bethel notches another mark in the win column to make them 9-5 on the season and 2-0 in official MIAC competition. This is BU's fifth sweep of the season thus far. 

How it Happened

• BU jumped out to an early lead with several 3-0 runs

• St. Ben's kept biting at Bethel's heels with a couple 3-0 runs of their own and managed to bring the set back within 1 multiple times

• A 3-0 run by the Bennies forced the Royals to take an early timeout in the second set

• The longest volley of the night ended with a point and the lead for BU

• A block by Hannah Wilhite and Abby Drury broke the tie and the momentum stayed with BU for the remainder of set two

• The Royals' first run in the third set was kept alive by a close "out" call in favor of BU

• After a 5-0 CSB run and a timeout, Bethel strung a 5-0 run of their own to take the lead for the rest of the set
