BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Conor Schubring and
Greta McArthur of the Bethel University golf programs swept the MIAC's weekly golf awards after stellar weekends. Schubring earns the honor for the second straight week while McArthur earns her first career weekly honor.
Schubring posted two of the three lowest single-round scores by a MIAC golfer this season at the Minnesota Golf Classic last weekend. Schubring opened the tournament with a 69 - tied for the third-lowest single-round score in the conference this season - before shooting a MIAC season-low and Bethel program-record 67 in round two. He finished the tournament with a score of 216 (69-67-80) to tie for 12th place overall while helping the Royals to their second first-place finish since 2015 with a 54-hole program-low score of 866.
McArthur finished as the tournament runner-up among 132 competitors at the Wartburg Fall Invitational over the weekend, leading the Royals with a two-day score of 146 (75-71). McArthur's second-round score is the lowest by a MIAC women's golfer this season. It is also the second-lowest single-round score in program history.
