Conor Schubring was one of 312 qualifiers set to participate in U.S. Amateur Open at The Ridgewood Country Club and Arcola Country Club in Paramus, N.J.

Schubring, a St. Louis Park, Minn. native, qualified for the prestigious event shooting a 136 (70-66) during a qualifying tournament in Bakersfield, Calif. He joined the Royals last spring as a transfer playing in four events and five total rounds where he averaged 74.8 strokes and placed in the top 10 in three of those events.

The event kicks off Monday, August 15 with the opening round of stroke play. Schubring tees off at 8:12 a.m. EST off the first tee at The Ridgewood Country Club. On Tuesday he will tee off at 1:07 p.m. EST for round two.

Round two of stroke play is on Tuesday with the hopes of making the Round of 64 cut that begins Wednesday in a match play format.
