FORT Myers, Fla. – The Bethel University baseball team left no doubt at the plate defeating Wisconsin Lutheran 14-1 Monday afternoon at the Players Development Complex in Fort Myers, Fla. BU did so by tallying 14 hits, three that went for extra bases, to go along with four walks and three hit-by-pitches.

Max Sutter in his second start as a Royal picked up his second win tossing seven innings of one run ball. He gave up seven hits, walked one and struck out eight.

Marcus Krupke went 3-for-4 with two runs and four RBIs.
Matthew Carlsen wasn't to far behind him going 3-for-4 driving in three runs.
Ty Koehn crossed the plate twice going 2-for-4 with a double and a triple.

The Royals plated five in the second batting around in the frame. A bases loaded walk to
Nick Kulseth kicked off the offensive onslaught before BU was hitting it to all aspects of the field.

Wisconsin Lutheran scored its leadoff single in the fourth before not seeing a runner get pass second base the rest of the game.

Sacrifice flies from
Justin Winterfeldt and
Marcus Krupke tallied a run in the fourth and fifth respectively.

BU exploded for four more runs in the seventh and three in the eighth.

Out of the pen,
Brett Carlson added two innings of shutout work allowing two hits and striking out three of the eight batters faced. Â

The Royals are back on the diamond early Tuesday morning for a twinbill with Saint Michael's College. First pitch is scheduled for 9 a.m. EST. Â
