RESULTS

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Royals were led by Lukas Walton as they competed in day 1 of the NCAA Division III National Championships. Walton is currently 8th in the heptathlon with 2,631 points. Walton had lifetime best performances in the 60m (7.44) and long jump (6.32m / 20'9") along with terrific marks in shot put (11.00m / 36'1.25") and high jump (1.88m / 6'2"). 

Jacob Parent finished up his indoor season with a 14th place finish in the 400m. Parent was the 20th and final qualifier for the national meet, and moved up 6 places from his seed. He ran 50.17 to take 3rd in his heat. 

Gabe Irons placed 15th in the weight throw to end the evening for Bethel. Irons' best throw of the evening was 17.32m / 56'10". Irons will return on Saturday to compete in the shot put.
