DULUTH, Minn. - The Bethel University women's hockey team traveled to Duluth to take on first-year MIAC member St. Scholastica, and fell by a 2-1 score to the Saints. Bethel scored the games first goal early in the second period but CSS tied the game with just 47 seconds left in the second and then again just 1:44 into the third period.
Ally Halversen scored the Royals lone goal with Emily Roder and Lindsay Albers assisting. Mallory Tidona made 31 saves, including 13 each in the first and second periods.
Bethel falls to 6-8 overall and an even 4-4 in MIAC play while St. Scholastica improves to 10-6-1 and 5-2-1 in the MIAC. The Royals and Saints will conclude the series Saturday afternoon at Bethel University Arena with a 3 p.m. puck drop.
