ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Saint John's handed the Bethel University men's hockey team its first loss since November 11 taking the series opener 4-1 Thursday night in St. Cloud.
A two-goal first and third period aided the Johnnies who outshot the Royals 39-25.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• SJU scored early in the contest before going up 2-0 with a power play goal at the 8:35 mark.

Spencer Kring scored the lone goal for Bethel at the 11:32 mark.
Jarrett Cammarata tallied his seventh assist of the year while
Matt Berezowski tallied his first apple as a Royal.
• A scoreless second saw the Royals kill off one penalty in which netminder
Travis Allen fended off five Johnnie shots on frame.
• The deficit went back to two just under midway way to go in the third. An empty net goal in the final minute made it 4-1.
• BU went without a power play and were 2-for-3 on the penalty kill.
