Arden Hills, Minn. — The Bethel University men's soccer team played their last regular season game at home Saturday afternoon. The Royals scored 2 unanswered first half goals, improving to 9-8-1 (5-5). BU clinches a spot in the MIAC Playoffs for the first time since 2004!
How it Happened
- The Royals got off to a quick lead and Lucas Johnson scored in the 5th minute with an assist by Zach Caouette
- Lucas Johnson used another scoring opportunity with help from Dhiraj Basnet to advance the lead in the 18th minute on a high center goal
- In the 2nd half, Bethel held onto their lead with a total of 11 shots on goal to Augsburg's 7
- BU and Augsburg both had 2 corner kicks for the game.
