COLLEGEVILLE, Minn – The Bethel University Men's soccer team capitalized on early scoring opportunities to take home a 2-1 road victory over St. John's on Wednesday afternoon. Juan Valdivia Cortes had 13 saves.

Matthias Caspari netted his 7th goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 24th minute.

Extending the lead right away, Jack Hanson scored in the 27th minute with an assist by Juan Valdivia Cortes.

St. John's crept back into the game with a goal by Ryan Erickson in the 56th minute.

SJU held a high percentage of possession for the remaining time of the 2nd half, but the Royals held on tight to their lead with five saves from Cortes.
