Royals Pour in Dominant Offense Effort Against St. Olaf, 102-47

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – Behind four players in double figures led by Makenna Pearson's career-high 25 points, the Bethel University women's basketball team turned in a dominant 102-47 effort over St. Olaf Saturday afternoon.

Hayden Glander also poured in a career-high with 21 points adding in seven rebounds. Courtney Nuest matched a career-high 19 points while Anna Garfield chipped in 12. Commander of the floor Bella Williams dished out 10 assists and collected eight steals.

The Oles led 8-7 early before the Royals exploded on a 14-0 run taking the lead for good. Bethel expanded on its 29-12 lead in the second working it inside the paint where 66 of their points came.

Bethel's advantage reached 30-plus as Nuest scored in transition of a steal from Williams. The Royals outscored the Oles 34-10 in the third quarter.

BU's bench did most of the production in the fourth scoring 11 points including a bucket from Lindsey Tschetter at the 2:57 mark giving the Royals their largest lead of the day at 100-43. Jenny Wibholm would score her first collegiate bucket putting the Royals just two points shy of matching the program's single game record.

The Royals forced 30 St. Olaf turnovers turning that into 34 points on the other end. BU shot 52.6 percent for the afternoon (41-of-78) while collecting 25 steals, four shy of a single-game record, and assisted on 27 buckets.

A quick turnaround for BU puts them back on the floor in the Robertson Center Monday against St. Scholastica at 7 p.m.
