BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - For the second time in his decorated career senior Gabe Irons has been named the MIAC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon. 

Irons took home event wins in the shot put and weight throw at the Vanessa Seljeskog Classic last weekend. Posting MIAC-leading marks in both events, a 14.36m (47-01.50) in the shot put represented a lifetime best while his weight throw of 17.45m (57-03.00) ranks 14th in NCAA Division III this season.

The Bethel track and field squad continues its indoor campaign this Friday and Saturday at the St. Olaf Quad & Multi meet. Due to the number of competing student-athletes, officials, and coaches, no spectators are permitted to attend the meet.
