Bethel Track and Field Set for 2022 Indoor Season

The Bethel University men's and women's track and field squad season opener is just around the corner as they begin the indoor portion of their schedule. With a return to somewhat normal scheduling, the Royals open on Saturday, Jan. 22 at the Vanessa Seljeskog Classic hosted by Macalester.
 
The five-team event will consist of BU, Augsburg, Gustavus Adolphus, Macalester and St. Kate's. From there the Royals head to Northfield for the St. Olaf Quad on Friday, Jan. 28.
 
In accordance with Macalester's and St. Olaf's current spectator policies for the month of January, no spectators will be permitted into either meet. Live results and watch links can be found on each team's schedule pages.
 
On Saturday, Feb. 5, the Royals host the annual Gene Glader Classic inside the Sports and Recreation Center where field events begin at 10 a.m. and track events at 11 a.m. A reminder that spectators will be required to wear mask in accordance with MIAC COVID-19 policy.
 
The Royals hit the road for a pair of meets prior to postseason running. On Feb. 11 they will attend the UW-Stout Quad meet before sending select individuals to the Showshoe Open on Feb. 18 hosted by the University of Minnesota.
 
The MIAC Pentathlon and Heptathlon is set to take place at Carleton College on Feb. 24 prior to the MIAC Championships Feb. 25-26.
 
BU will get one more chance at the NCAA Qualifier on March 5 hosted by Wartburg before qualifying individuals head to the NCAA Indoor Championships Mar. 11-12. The national meet is set to take place in Winston-Salem, N.C. at the JDL Fast Track.
