STEVENS POINT, Wis. – No. 21-ranked Bethel University volleyball squad concluded the Pointers Invitational with a straight set victory over Ripon, 25-13, 25-10, 25-10, going 2-1 on the weekend.

Bethel was paced by
Grace Solberg with 12 kills on 19 attempts and no errors (.632) while
Kirstin Cotter tallied 10 kills. Eight different Royals recorded a kill with the offense was orchestrated with 35 assists from
Hannah Wilhite.

Tied at 5-5 in the opening set, a kill from
Danielle Friedges gave BU the lead, which they kept the rest of the set. A nice five-point run couldn't be stopped by a Ripon timeout opening the advantage to 18-9. A kill by
Natalie Hallstrom put on the finishing touches.

BU never trailed in set two opening up with a 9-3 lead. From that point Bethel outscored Ripon 11-3 including a pair of service aces and kills from Wilhite. Solberg put down her fifth kill of the set putting the Royals up two sets to none.

The Royals took the third set with six kills from Solberg and four from Rossing. BU never trailed hitting .361 in the third and forcing the opposition to -.129.

Bethel jumps back into MIAC play Wednesday traveling to Saint Benedict at 7 p.m.
