ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The No. 24th-ranked Bethel University volleyball team earned its way to a pair of victories over Wisconsin-Stout and Wisconsin-Superior Saturday afternoon inside the Robertson Center.
Emily Rossing had herself a day with a combined 31 kills notching career-high numbers in both matches.
Danielle Friedges put down a career-high 17 kills against UW-Superior

Bethel came ready to play in its return to the Robertson Center since the season opener on Sept. 1.
Emily Rossing led the way with a career-high 14 kills while
Allie Fauth added 11 kills and
Kirstin Cotter 10. While BU's serving game tailed six aces, three from
Mina Wimmer and three from
Danielle Friedges.
Bethel didn't hold a lead larger than four until a kill from Fauth made it 18-13. Bethel continued to pull away from there scoring five in a row. A kill by Fauth and a UW-Stout ball handling error gave BU the opener.
In the second, Bethel tallied 18 kills with only four attacking errors on 46 attempts. Tied up eight different times, a kill from Rossing gave the Royals a 14-13 lead which they kept the rest of the set.
Friedges started out the third set hot with three straight service aces. The lead grew to 7-1 before Stout called a timeout. Stout tried clawing its way back into it but the Royals attacking game was to much. Wimmer tallied two of her service aces in the span of a four-point run that made it 15-9. Rossing capped out her career-high match with the match winning kill.

Rossing put down a career-high 17 kills along with Friedges.
Hannah Wilhite tallied 50 assists on 99 total attempts while the Royals came away with seven service aces and 11 team blocks.
BU Jumped to a 10-5 lead before the Yellowjackets used their first timeout. Back-to-back kills from Fauth and Rossing made it 19-10. A service ace from
Mina Wimmer put the finishes touches on it.
After 12 ties and five lead changes, Superior took the second set in a close 25-23 decision. The Royals bounced back taking the third with no doubt, 25-14.
That momentum continued into the fourth where bethel hit .375. Things were tight all the way from 0-0 to 11-11 before a kill from
Kirstin Cotter gave the Royals a lead the rest of the way.
