Box Score 2 CARTHAGE, Wis. – The Bethel University volleyball team went 3-1 on the weekend at the Carthage College Invitational after defeating the Milwaukee School of Engineering in three sets (25-27, 25-14, 25-23, 25-12) before falling to nationally ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater in the weekend finale (25-21, 25-18, 21-25, 25-9).
Bethel returns to the Robertson Center next Saturday for the annual Bethel Invitational. Bethel hosts Wisconsin-Stout at 11 a.m. and Wisconsin-Superior at 3 p.m.

Less than 12 hours after upsetting the fifth ranked team in the nation, Bethel made a quick turnaround with an early 10 a.m. match.
Allie Fauth recorded her second straight double-double, and third in four matches, with a 12 kills and 11 digs performance.
Emily Rossing added 12 kills herself adding three block assists.
A late five point run by the Raiders set them up for a comeback taking the opening set. BU responded with a dominant second set hitting .318 and forcing MSOE into nine attacking errors and a negative hitting percentage.
In the third, Bethel jumped into a 9-1 lead before the Raiders made a run of their own, stopped by a service error. The Royals found themselves having to climb back into the set trailing 20-18. They tied in on two occasions before trading off points. A kill by Fauth and an attacking error by MSOE put the Royals up 2-1.
Bethel jumped out to a 13-4 advantage in the fourth and never looked back from there.

BU closed out the four-match weekend with its third top-25 opponent in the last seven matches. The Royals fell to the Warhawks (5-0) in four sets, taking the third away from them.
