Women’s Tennis Ready to Make Run in MIAC Playoffs

| By:
ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The Bethel University women's tennis team is set to make their fifth consecutive appearance in the MIAC Playoffs. The fourth-seeded Royals will host fifth-seeded St. Catherine today (Wednesday, May 5) at Ona Orth Athletic Complex. First serve is at 3:30 p.m. Should inclement weather occur in the area, the teams will move to Rogers Tennis Center to complete the match.

Bethel holds a 4-5 all-time record with six total trips to the playoffs and are coming off an appearance in the MIAC Championship match back in 2019 where they fell to Carleton, 5-2.

It's the third time in four tournaments where BU was the No. 4 seed. In 2018 and 2017, Bethel reached the semifinals as the four seed. In 2017, the Royals defeated fifth-seeded SCU 5-4 in the quarterfinals.

The Royals are 7-11 all time against the Wildcats and are on a six-match winning streak against them. Bethel defeated SCU earlier this season on April 30, 7-2.
