ST. PETER, Minn. – The Bethel University baseball team was kept out of the hit column in a 2-0 loss at Gustavus Adolphus Monday afternoon in St. Peter.
Bethel's best chance at tallying a run came in the third with back-to-back walks drawn by
Jordan Krupke and
Nick Kulseth. But a fielder's choice, a groundout to short and a line out stranded a pair.
Marcus Krupke tossed a complete game effort striking out seven hitters along the way. Suffering his first loss of the season, he gave up runs in the third and seventh while allowing seven hits and two walks.
The Royals have a quick turnaround where they look to snap their five-game losing streak tomorrow against St. Olaf. First pitch of the doubleheader at Hargis Park is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
