ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The Bethel University men's tennis team fell to Macalester College 6-3 Thursday afternoon at Ona Orth Athletic Complex.
Erik Beckers and
Jason Reilly picked up Bethel's first point with a convincing win at No. 1 doubles. Macalester took the No. 3 doubles point while
Zach Kantor and
Joey Mueller were in a battle with the Scots No. 3 duo. Kantor and Mueller battled their way back forcing a tiebreaker before coming up just short.
In singles play,
Tyler Creelman extended his winning streak to three matches winning in straight sets 7-5, 6-2.
Jason Reilly would be the only player come away with two wins on the day winning at No. 3 singles in a lengthy tiebreaker.
Bethel (4-7, 4-2 MIAC) continues its three-match homestand Sunday hosting Gustavus Adolphus at 2 p.m
