BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced Tuesday afternoon that cross country, football, soccer and volleyball will have their fall competition postponed to the spring due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The conference is working to develop spring schedules for those sports, which have been deemed at
medium- or high-risk for coronavirus transmission by the NCAA.
Men's and women's golf and tennis – categorized as low-risk sports – will be permitted to compete this fall in accordance with campus, state and NCAA health directives against conference members only.
Move-in dates for football, volleyball, cross country and soccer student-athletes will take place the week of August 24. Men's and women's golf will move in on August 21.
Bethel will be hosting individual team meetings to discuss details specific to each sport.
