NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Bethel University women's golf team did not let inclement weather get in the way of another strong outing where the Royals placed second at the eight-team Carleton Invitational. After inclement weather forced the original 36-hole event down to 18 holes, Bethel shot a 331 (+43) Sunday afternoon at Northfield Golf Club.
Top-ranked Carleton took first in the event shooting a 308 (+20).
Sophomore
Nicole Miller had the field's lone eagle as she went on to shoot a 76 (+4) and finish third individually. The future continues to look bright with freshman
Ana Schwarz recording another top-five finish with an 82 (+10) while sinking three birdies.
Junior
Katie Engelking finished in a tie for 13th with an 85 (+13) while freshman
Elena Zaborniak shot an 88 (+16). In just her second collegiate tournament,
Jadyn Nelson finished in a tie for 47th place.
