ARDEN HILLS, Minn.—Bethel University women's tennis finished off it's 2018 regular season campaign with a home match against Gustavus Adolphus College Saturday afternoon. The Royals (14-5, 7-3 MIAC), who celebrated senior day, came up short against the Gusties (12-7, 7-0 MIAC) in a 2-7 loss to the top team in the MIAC.

BU's two match victories came in No. 2 doubles and No. 6 singles.
Mackenzie Novak and
Jill Weinzettel came away with an 8-6 win while
Meghan Schuler earned herself a 6-3, 6-4 straight set victory.
The Royals had multiple close loses on the day with Weinzettel and
Sami Hindt both going to third set tiebreakers in their singles matches, but ultimately falling just short. No 3 doubles was also a tight one as Hindt and
Mattie Lubben lost 8-9 (5-7).

The MIAC Playoff schedule has not been announced yet, but it is certain that the Royals will host either St. Catherine University or Macalester College in the first round. Bethel currently sits fourth in the MIAC having just dropped three conference matches this season.
