Jack Jenson registered a game-high 20 points.
Granger Kingland tallied back-to-back double doubles scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Derek Magnuson, after surpassing the 1,000 career point mark Saturday, added 19 while
Hudson Urbanus added 13 respectively.
Evenly distributed first half scoring led the Royals (2-1) to open up on a 12-3 run. Crown (2-2) quieted the hot shooting of Bethel finding their stride midway through evening things up at 20-20 with 10:24 remaining. Bethel would lead by as many as five before the Storm worked their way to tie it up three different times in the final six minutes. A pair of free throws by
Tyler Barker in the closing seconds gave the Royals a narrow 42-41 lead at the break.
Crown took back the lead to start the second half with back-to-back layups but the Royals responded with second half adjustments scoring the next 10 to regain the lead. A thunderous dunk by Kingland would give the Royals a double-digit lead which stood until the final horn.
The Royals shot a hot 22-for-36 (61.1 percent) in the second half while grabbing their largest lead of the game at 23 late down the stretch.
Five Crown players scored double figures where the Storm were led in scoring by Timothy Wendel with 15 points.
The Royals continue non-conference play on Saturday, Nov. 24 as they host Wisconsin-La Crosse at 3 p.m.
