CLAREMONT, Calif. —It's safe to say that California treated Bethel volleyball well this weekend.

The Royals (4-0, 0-0 MIAC) picked up two more wins in the Pacific Coast Classic and finished their trip undefeated heading back to Minnesota. Saturday's victories came against Occidental College and Union College by final scores of 3-0 and 3-1, respectively.

Coaching in her 500th career match,
Gretchen Hunt and the Royals handed Occidental a quick 3-0 loss in Saturday's opener. BU, who hit a blistering .402 throughout the match, topped the Tigers 25-16, 25-18, and 25-10. Bethel scored 58 points on 43 kills, nine aces, and six blocks, while also posting 38 assists and 38 digs throughout the tilt.

Kristin Stern and
Brooke Olstad had extraordinary performances, as each posted 12 kills and two block assists. Stern hit .688 throughout the match, while Olstad hit .500 with seven digs.
Mikayla Morrow tallied a match-high 30 assists, while
Dominique Dabu led all players with nine digs.

With the exception of a lapse in the second frame, Saturday's finale was as equally lopsided as the first. BU defeated the Dutch in four games by final scores of 25-17, 22-25, 25-15, and 25-13. The Royals scored 72 points on 61 kills, five aces, and six blocks. Bethel also collected 57 assists and 65 digs.

Kristin Stern continued her dominance, amassing 21 kills on 32 attempts for a .563 hitting percentage.
Tina Hoppe collected 11 kills and a .346 hitting mark to go along with seven digs, two block assists, and one ace.
Brooke Olstad manufactured eight kills, but perhaps eve more impressive, a match-high 17 digs and two aces.
Dominique Dabu added 11 digs, while
Mikayla Morrow and
Rylee Forshee each finished with 10. Morrow also finished with a match-high 41 assists.

The Royals take on Minnesota- Morris on the road Tuesday, September 5 at 7:30 p.m. before traveling to Stevens Point, Wisconsin next weekend for the Pointer Invitational.
