MENOMONIE, Wis. — Bethel University's volleyball team got back to it's winning ways with Friday evening's 3-1 victory over the University of Wisconsin-Stout. The Royals (8-2) dropped the opening set to the Blue Devils (4-5) by a final score of 24-26, but rallied back to win the second, third, and fourth sets by final scores of 25-13, 25-21, and 25-22.

BU totaled 63.0 points throughout the match on 49 kills, four aces, and 10 blocks. The Royals also collected 48 assists and 58 digs.

Leading the charge offensively was
Kristin Stern,
Karin Canakes, and
Tina Hoppe, who all finished with double-digit kills. Stern led the trio with 13 kills, while Canakes and Hoppe were right behind with 12 and 10, respectively.

Bailey Israelson posted a team-high 25 assists, while
Mikayla Morrow recorded 18. Additionally,
Dominique Dabu recorded a team-high 25 digs and
Brooke Olstad was charged with eight.

Bethel returns to action Wednesday, September 20, when they host St. Catherine University in their home opener. The very important conference matchup is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
