LAKEVILLE, Minn.— The Bethel University women's tennis team was shut out in their match against defending MIAC champion Carleton College Sunday evening by a score of 9-0. It was a tough evening for the Royals as they took losses in all three doubles matches. They lost a close match at No. 1 doubles as
Mattie Kidder and
Jill Weinzettel fell 6-8. Singles followed a similar storyline as Carleton won all six matches.
No. 5 singles was a tight match as
Meghan Schuler lost 3-6 in both sets.
Mattie Kidder played a competitive match before losing 3-6, 0-6. At No. 3 and No. 4 singles,
Sami Hindt and
Mattie Lubben, both lost 0-6, 0-6.
Rachel Knutson dropped her match at No. 6 singles 0-6, 0-6. No. 2 singles was competitive before
Jill Weinzettel lost 1-6, 2-6.
Bethel will look to get back in the win column as they head to Florida next week for their spring break trip. They will six matches beginning on Sunday against Cornell in Orlando, Florida.
