ST. PETER, Minn. - The Bethel University men's hockey team was shut out for the third straight game, falling at Gustavus Adolphus College by a 3-0 score. The Gusties scored twice in the first period and then once more in the second to build their 3-0 lead. The first Gustie goal came on the power play, one of just two power plays for GAC on the night. Bethel was 0-3 on the power play. The Gusties held a 38-27 advantage on shots. Joe Sheppard made 35 saves in net for the Royals.
The Royals and Gusties will head to Bethel University Arena at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota for a Saturday night contest. The puck will drop at 7 p.m. as the Royals will be playing just their second home game of the season.
