BLAINE, Minn. - The Bethel University men's hockey team was shutout again by Gustavus Adolphus College Saturday night, falling by a 4-0 score. The Royals got off to a hot start, firing off the first ten shots on goal of the game but were just unable to get one past the Gustavus goaltender. The Gusties scored all four of their goals within a 10 minute span in the second period between the fifth and 15th minutes.
Gustavus finished the game holding a 37-29 advantage on shots. Both teams had three power plays with the Gusties scoring once. Joe Sheppard made 33 saves for Bethel.
The Royals fall to 1-12 on the season and 1-6 in the MIAC. They will take on Saint John's University next Friday night at Bethel University Arena in the final contest of the 2017 portion of the schedule.
