ARDEN HILLS, Minn. — Bethel University's volleyball team improved to 3-0 at home with Wednesday evening's sweep over Concordia College. The Royals (12-4, 4-3 MIAC) trailed 16-18 in the first, but came back to defeat the Cobbers (4-12, 2-5 MIAC) 25-23 before coasting to a 25-16 and 25-13 victory in sets two and three.

BU finished the night with 55.0 points on 49 kills, two aces, and four blocks, while also posting 48 assists and 58 digs. Bethel amassed a .289 hitting percentage, while limiting Concordia to just .034 at the net.

Kristin Stern had a phenomenal night, amassing 14 kills and three blocks while hitting .609 throughout the match.
Macie Gavic and
Maria Claflin were equally good as the freshman duo manufactured 12 and 10 kills, respectively. Gavic hit .429, while Claflin finished .192 with five digs.

Dominique Dabu led Bethel in the back row with a team-high 16 digs, while
Tina Hoppe and Brooke Israelson were right behind with nine. Hoppe also composed six kills and an ace. Meanwhile, Israelson collected a match-high 31 assists and
Mikayla Morrow tallied 13.

Bethel's season continues this weekend when they travel to Naperville, Ill. for the North Central College Tournament. The Royals take on Central College and Nebraska Wesleyan University Friday at 5 and 7 p.m. before battling St. Lawrence University and UW-Oshkosh at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday.
