BLAINE, Minn. - The Bethel University Women's hockey team suffered another loss at the hands of the Hamline University Pipers by a score of 3-2 at Bethel University Arena Saturday afternoon. The Royals saw the Pipers jump out to a 2-0 lead before Bethel cut the lead in half thanks to a beautiful goal from

Emma Johnson at 7:38 of the second period. The Pipers would tack on a short-handed goal to widen the lead back to two early in the final frame. The Royals were able to get a late goal courtesy of
Sarah Moy assisted by
Sarina Goos to draw back within one score with 1:44 remaining. With Bethel goalie
Maggie Straka pulled, the Royals and the extra attacker attempted to find the equalizing goal, however despite their best efforts, the Royals couldn't get the score they needed and fell just short.
The loss for the Royals drops their record to 7-9-3 and 4-5-3 in conference play. Bethel's next home game will be Friday, February 3rd as they welcome the St.Olaf College Oles to town. Puck drop is scheduled to be at 7 p.m.
