ST. PAUL – The Bethel University women's hockey team fell victim to the Hamline University Pipers Friday evening by a 4-1 score. The Pipers jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first period and extended their lead to 4-0 just 38 seconds into the second before Bethel scored once for the 4-1 final.
Abby Felton scored the Royals lone goal. Hamline outshot Bethel 41-26.
Bethel's loss drops them to 4-4-3 in the MIAC and 7-8-3 overall while Hamline improved to 8-3 and 10-7-1. The Royals and Pipers will finish their series Saturday afternoon from Bethel University Arena with a 3 p.m. puck drop.
