ARDEN HILLS, Minn.—Bethel University welcomes Carthage College for the 2016 home opener Saturday at Royal Stadium. The Royals (0-1, 0-0 MIAC) are looking for win No. 1 on the season after last weekend's 53-70 loss at the University of Dubuque, while the Red Men (1-0, 0-0 CCIW) look to start the season 2-0 for the first time under fourth-year head coach Mike Yeager.

Bethel has composed a 16-4 record on home opener's dating back to 1996. One of BU's four losses during that stretch was a 14-24 loss to Wartburg last season and a last-second heartbreaker to No. 5-ranked Wheaton in 2009. Prior to that, Bethel lost to Central in 2005 and Concordia (Minn.) in 2002.
