Box Score ARDEN HILLS, Minn.—Bethel University continued it's dominant play at home Wednesday evening, as the No. 12 Royals (5-0, 0-0 MIAC) defeated the University of Minnesota-Morris 3-0. The victory over the Cougars (2-3, 0-0 UMAC) marked BU's 11th-straight in the Robertson Center and fifth consecutive against a nonconference foe.

Bethel trailed the Cougars 5-11 early in game one, but finished the frame with a vengeance. A 20-4 run in the final 24 points gave the Royals a 25-15 victory in the opening set. BU then trailed again in the second set 6-9, but strung together a 5-0 and 12-6 run that provided a 25-21 finish. Bethel didn't hold back in the third and final set, using a 13-2 run to produce a 25-20 victory.

The Royals accumulated 45.0 points as a team on 32 kills, five aces, and eight blocks.
Tina Hoppe led BU with 11 kills on 22 attempts (.409), three block assists, and 18 digs. Right behind her was sister
Carlee Hoppe, who recorded seven kills (.103) and six digs.

Katie Lubben and
Holly Ellwanger helped Bethel finish with 28 assists. Lubben led the team with 14, while Ellwanger contributed 10. Ellwanger led the Royals from the serving stripe—firing off 21 serves, including three aces, throughout the contest.
Jillian Krier and
Callie Sinclair each posted eight digs defensively.

Bethel will continue their 2016 season Friday when they travel to Stevens Point, Wisconsin for the Pointer Invitational. The Royals face Aurora University and Ripon College on Friday at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively, followed by a dual against No. 15 UW-Stevens Point and the (RV) College of Saint Benedict Saturday at Noon and 2 p.m.
