NORTHFIELD, Minn.—Bethel University's volleyball team dropped a five-set heartbreaker at Carleton College Wednesday night. The No. 18-ranked Royals (10-4, 0-2 MIAC) took a 2-1 lead after three sets played, but the Knights (9-2, 1-1 MIAC) rallied with a 26-24 victory in the fourth and a 18-16 triumph in the fifth.

BU finished the night with 72 points on 52 kills, six aces, and 14 blocks. Tina Hoppe led the Royals with a 19-kill and 19-dig performance, while Callie Sinclair also manufactured double-digit kills. Sinclair finished with 13 kills and 14 digs.
