ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The Bethel University men's soccer team won their third game in a row Friday afternoon at the Ona Orth Complex, 2-0 against Crown College. After a scoreless first half the Royals dominated the second half firing 19 shots compared to Crown's three. The Royals connected on two goals in the second half as well, including one by
Joshua de la Rosa who has now scored a goal in the last three games. This game was also the third shutout in a row for the Royals.
"Three clean sheets in a row is something to be proud of," Coach Iwaszkowiec said.
Kevin Hintz scored the second goal of the game for the Royals, his first of the season.
Danny Jaderholm assisted on the both goals this afternoon so his contribution was not lost.
"Our second goal was fun to watch because that's the type of play we worked on in practice," Coach Iwaszkowiec said. "Crown's defensive scheme caused us problems and we had trouble creating offensive rhythm but it was good to score two nice goals and keep a shutout."
Goalie
Sam Asfahl had 4 saves in his first action of the year, keeping the shutout streak alive.
The Royals pick up action Saturday against Northland College at 3:30 pm and look to continue the winning streak at home at the Ona Orth Complex.
