Box Score WINONA, Minn.—Bethel University's volleyball team demonstrated great resiliency Friday evening in Winona, as the Royals (15-8, 5-4 MIAC) outlasted Saint Mary's University 3-1. The Cardinals (21-4, 5-3 MIAC) overcame BU in the first set 28-26, despite the Royals leading 24-21 late, but Bethel responded with a 25-18, 25-20, and 25-21 victory in the second, third, and fourth set.

BU tallied 66.0 points on 52 kills, three aces, and 11 blocks, while also recording 48 assists and 54 digs. The Royals hit .281 as a team, while also holding SMU to .210.

Carlee Hoppe led Bethel with her ninth double-double of the season. Hoppe posted 14 kills and three errors on 41 attacks (.268) alongside a team-best 12 digs.
Callie Sinclair also composed double-digit kills, finishing with 10 kills, nine digs, and a .321 hitting percentage.

Bethel's 11 blocks were highlighted by
Karin Canakes, who composed two solo blocks and five block assists, and
Emily Kukacka, who manufactured four block assists, six kills, and a .857 hitting percentage.

Also stuffing the staff sheet was
Holly Ellwanger and
Katie Lubben. Each finished the night with 22 assists, while Ellwanger added nine digs and Lubben six.

The Royals return to the Robertson Center for their final home match of the regular season Saturday, October 22. Bethel, who is celebrating senior day, plays host to St. Thomas at 3 p.m.
