Box Score ARDEN HILLS, Minn.—Bethel University's volleyball team had the rare opportunity to host a home match on Homecoming Saturday and they took full advantage of it by defeating Hamline University in straight sets. The Royals (12-6, 2-3 MIAC) destroyed the Pipers (6-7, 1-4 MIAC) 25-6 in the opener before cruising to a 25-18 win in sets two and three.

BU tallied 56.0 points throughout the night on 46 kills, four aces, and six blocks, opposed to Hamline, who finished with just 29.
Callie Sinclair was on fire for the Royals, as she composed 18 kills and just two errors on 32 attempts (.500) to go along with nine digs. Meanwhile,
Tina Hoppe continued her double-double streak (five in the last six matches) with 13 kills and 10 digs.

Holly Ellwanger had a match-high 24 assists to go along with her eight digs and six kills (.400).
Katie Lubben finished with 14 assists and six digs, while
Dominique Dabu recorded a team-high 15 digs.

Overall, BU hit .333 as a team and limited Hamline to .080. Moreover, Bethel manufactured 60 digs and four aces from the service line.

The Royals, who are now 2-3 in conference play after dropping the first three all in five sets, return to the court on Thursday, October 6, when they'll welcome Concordia College for a 7 p.m. match.
