Box Score MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. – The Bethel University men's hockey team was shutout on the road against No. 15 St. Thomas Saturday night. The Tommies outshot the Royals 44-24 on the night and pulled away with three goals in the third period.
St. Thomas was called for a total of 8 penalties while Bethel had just four. The Royals went 0-7 on the power play however.
Matt Rowe made 40 saves for in net for Bethel. The Royals actually outshot the Tommies in the third period, 14-13, but St. Thomas scored three times in the period after scoring the games only other goal early in the second period.
Bethel will now turn their attention to next weekend's series with St. John's University. The Royals will host the Johnnies on Friday night and travel to SJU on Saturday.
