RIVER FALLS, Wisconsin—The Bethel University men's basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 62-55 nonconference road win at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. The Royals (2-0, 0-0 MIAC) built a 30-25 lead over the Falcons (0-2) in the first half and utilized an 11-3 run to begin the second period, which carried them to a seven-point victory.

BU finished the contest shooting 40.4 percent from the floor, which includes a 40.9 average from outside the arc. Thanks to
Jared Nelson's trio of 3-pointers in the first frame and
Trevor Hall's pair in the second, Bethel finished the game 9-of-22 from long range.

Trevor Hall led the Royals throughout the night, as the junior tallied 17 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 37 minutes played.
Kyle von_Schmidt-Pauli added 14 points and six boards.
Bridgeport Tusler finished with nine points in his first game back with the squad, while
Derek Magnuson neared his first career double-double with eight points and nine rebounds.

Bethel will attempt to go 3-0 when they host the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse this Saturday in the Robertson Center Gym at 7 p.m. Following their home game against the Eagles, BU will welcome Buena Vista University the following Tuesday at 7 p.m.Â
