ARDEN HILLS, Minn.—The Bethel University volleyball team completed their regular season with authority tonight, as the Royals (21-8, 9-2 MIAC) swept Augsburg College 3-0. The win over the Auggies (19-9, 5-6 MIAC) not only secured BU with the No. 2 seed in the MIAC Playoffs, but also matched a program record for consecutive victories against a league opponent (8).

Bethel dominated from start to finish, winning the three games with scores of 25-19, 25-22, and 25-16. The Royals tallied 59 points on 49 kills, five aces, and five blocks. Moreover, BU finished with 16 errors and a .250 attacking percentage, including a mark of .389 in the third and final set.

Tegan LaBerge continued her recent supremacy, posting 12 kills and five blocks in the sweep.
Kristin Stern and
Carlee Hoppe each slammed 11 kills, while
Tina Hoppe added eight.
Carlee Hoppe added 12 digs and two aces to her stat line.

Kali Johnson finished tonight's match with 16 digs, while
Katie Lubben and
Tina Hoppe recorded 12 and 10, respectively. Lubben also added a game-high 23 assists, while
Mikayla Morrow logged 20.

With the No. 2 seed Bethel is guaranteed both a first-round bye and a home game. As a result the Royals will rest Tuesday evening while they watch Saint Benedict (3) host Carleton (6). BU will face the winner on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Robertson Center Gym.Â
